J.B. Salsbury – Fighting For Honor | ARC Review

J.B. Salsbury- Fighting for honor
Release date:  September 26, 2017

Synopsis:
UFL fighter Caleb hasn’t been to Hope Town since he was eighteen. His next big fight takes place in Atlanta and the serene lakefront home from his childhood is the perfect place to train without distractions.
Until he stumbles downstairs to find a woman in his house. He’s met her before, and he’s never forgotten.
Honor was raised by her grandfather, Crazy Colonel Cartwright. Ostracized at a young age she was an outcast. Combined with her awkward personality and she became the local bully’s favorite plaything.
Honor and Caleb come face-to-face and feelings from fourteen years ago come rushing back—not all of them good.
She prefers to remain unknown, but she’s seen in public with the world’s most talked about fighter and thrust into a national spotlight that catches the attention of her childhood tormentors.
And they aren’t finished with her yet.

I had previously read both the ‘fighting series‘ by J.B. Salsbury and the ‘Corps security series‘ by Harper Sloan. So, I was super excited when I found out that Fighting for Honor was a book based from both of these ‘world’.
What surprised me most was how complete the story felt even though this book was just a novella. You don’t feel skimped out on or rushed, though the book is short, you grow along with the characters and the plot.

As a fan of UFC myself and all things MMA related books, I knew I would like Caleb from the get go. He is protective without begin overbearingly and all things an Alpha male character would be. Honor on the other hand, sweet Honor, is an awkward sweetheart who knows all the facts about any war… from important facts to silly but quite surprisingly interesting facts like what brought down a German Sub during WWII… answer? Clogged toilet! hahaha!!!!!!
J.B. Salsbury has never disappointed her readers and this was no exception. I hope you guys give it try!
Happy Reading!

PS: I’m not even joking when I say that I Googled and made some of the dishes that Honor made in the book!

PPS: I received an advanced readers copy from the author in return for an honest review.

let's catch up!
