This mystery and suspense novel captures the reader from the start. It begins with an action scene and then holds the reader captive until the end of the story. I liked Kelsey; she was a woman of many talents and very self-reliant. She was an expert computer hacker, rock climber and conservator, and yet she also had a vulnerable side adding balance to her personality. The plot was well planned and executed, revealing information to solve the mystery little by little as the story progressed. I thought the author was creative in the details of the plot and wove an imaginative narrative. There was a bit of a romance sprinkled in, which I liked but thought it moved too quickly at the conclusion and lacked that tingling feeling of anticipation.
This book is second in Patricia Bradley’s Memphis Cold Case a series. However, I did not read the first in the series and didn’t feel that it hindered my appreciation for this book.
I would highly recommend this book if you enjoy suspense novels.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell in exchange for an honest review.
