This is a small stand of trees by a flooded former gravel pit adjacent to the Thurrock Thameside Nature Park – this area will eventually be fully incorporated into the park. This shot was taken in early spring before the leaves had fully emerged and it was my last chance to indulge in my obsession with the patterns formed by bare branches…
