Hello
This Scandinavian inspired lovely merry Christmas card was made by using the Cookie-Cutter Christmas Stamp Set and Blends. The full product list is listed at the bottom.
During my childhood (growing up in Denmark) I remember my mum always decorating the house with Santas, elves, hearts and angels wherever possible. I’m sure our house shrank 75% in size inside, dad had to share the sofa with multiple home-knitted elf families, even in the bathroom we had several elves staring at you – but at the same time all the Christmas elves helped insulating the house making it warmer and cosier. It helped making Christmas a magical time of the year with or without snow.
The main colours of the Christmas decorations were red, white and gold which is what inspired me when making this card. In fact I made a few and they will all be a part of my Scandinavian inspired Christmas card series which consists of four cards posted over the next four days.
I used the heart border stamp from the Birthday Blooms stamp set to make my own Christmas background paper and I coloured the Santa with the amazing Blends. They are so easy and effortless to use. I just can’t recommend them enough.
I chose to die cut a circle out of the white background and pop my heart circle into the hole but you could also just layer it on top. I wanted the die cut ‘Lovely’ to stand out more and die cut three ‘Lovely’ word scripts and glued them together to make it more dimensional. I white heat embossed the greeting and added some gold sequins.
