Synopsis via Goodreads: Max Riley is the man of your dreams. Or at least he will be, for a price.

As his alter-ego Mister Romance, Max is a drop-dead gorgeous escort who makes romantic fantasies come to life. No sex, just swoon-worthy dates to die for, and the cream of New York’s socialites can’t get enough.  Whether they want a dominating billionaire, bad boy with a heart of gold, hot geek, sexy biker, or best friend who loves them from afar, Max can make it all happen, but he’s careful to keep his real identity a secret.

Enter investigative journalist Eden Tate. Having caught wind of the urban legend of Mister Romance from a lovestruck client, Eden is determined to publish a scathing expose on Max and his ability to swindle lonely society women out of their fortunes.

Desperate to protect his anonymity and his clients, Max challenges Eden to give him three dates. If she doesn’t fall in love with him, she can run her story with his blessing. If she succumbs to his charms, the story dies.

Cynical Eden has no doubt she can resist his fake romance personas, but when the real Max admits he’s falling for her, she has to decide if the professional liar is telling the truth, or if the passionate man with the mysterious past is just one more character designed to con her out of her career-making story.

Leisa Rayven is back at it again with a sexy new series about a romance that will sweep you off your feet and bring out the romantic in all of us. I went into Mister Romance not knowing a thing. I didn’t read the synopsis beforehand and I wasn’t even aware that this was a series until I read the last page in my eBook. All I knew was that Leisa Rayven wrote a new book and I was ready to devour every single word of it.

Eden Tate is done writing click-bait articles. She wants to be taken seriously and to be able to put her degree in investigative journalism to use. Opportunity strikes when she hears a rumor about a sexy male escort named Max Riley who has become quite popular among the socialites of New York as he turns their fantasies into realities, for a price of course. Pitching the story to her boss, Eden goes undercover hoping to lure the infamous Mister Romance out in the open so she can expose him and his con-artist ways. But when the tables turn, Eden finds herself making a deal that could either make or break her story, the only catch: don’t fall in love with Mister Romance.

THE QUEEN OF ANGSTY ROMANCE HAS DONE IT AGAIN!

Mister Romance was actually a bit of a surprise as it doesn’t read like Rayven’s previous works. I was expecting over-the-top dramatics, but Mister Romance was more on the funnier side and it had me laughing-out-loud for majority of the book. While the tone was different, Rayven’s writing was still the same: addicting, entertaining and so damn swoon-worthy! One thing I really loved about this book was Eden’s relationship with her sister and her grandmother. I’m really hoping the next book is about Asha because I love her spunky personality and would love to see her find love. Nannabeth is a riot with no-filter what-so-ever and I hope we get to see her again as well if Asha gets a book. *crosses fingers*

Eden Tate is a hard-working and determined journalist who is willing to do whatever it takes to further her career. Because of her past, she doesn’t allow herself to get close to anyone hence the lack of romance in her life. Personally, I found Eden to be a very relatable and I loved seeing her finally break free from her past and allow herself to let love in. Max Riley is a game changer who manages to shows Eden that she too deserves love and can be loved. I freakin’ loved all the different sides of Max. He such a gentleman and so caring, like where can I find me my own Mister Romance?! AND GOD I LOVE THESE TWO TOGETHER! The angst, the banter, the slow-burning passion…MY HEART! Leisa Rayven never fails to deliver when it comes to romance and I don’t think I will ever get enough of her words.

Mister Romance is an angst-filled, swoon-worthy first installment to a sexy and entertaining new series that will melt even the coldest of hearts and make you believe in happily-ever-afters. I just want to read this book over and over again simply because I can’t get enough of Max Riley! I highly recommend this book to all the romantics out there and I can’t wait to see what’s next for this series.
