More In Bloom

One of my Joyful Stitcher trunk shows came home the other day and I got a chance to take a few photos of one of the projects that I haven’t shared yet.

It’s yet another “In Bloom” runner.  I have now made 3, so scroll down to see the Christmas version if you missed it.   The prints were part of a kit that I found at Bear Patch Quilting Co. in White Bear Lake, MN.  The kit included a bunch of fat quarters that I never would have thought to put together, but just loved.  I bought the kit, cut a 3 1/2″ square out of each print and added the rest of the fat quarters to my stash or for another project.

I just thought they were too pretty to pass up.  I think most of the prints are from Art Gallery Fabrics.  I especially love the yellow print inside of the wool flowers.  The background fabric can be found here.  The wools are from my stash.

Here’s a close up of the stitching.  It’s all done by hand using #5 pearl cotton and a whip stitch – which is the quickest way to hand stitch wool!  So fun and relaxing . . .   If you are interested in learning more, you  can click here.

The pattern can be found  here.  That’s all for today!  I’ll be back to share another Christmas finish soon.
