A Liss MacCrimmon Mystery
review 1: I checked this book out of the library because my 4 yer old daughter picked it out for me. It was a mystery with Scottish cats on the cover. How could it be bad? There was nothing specific I could point to that made me not like it, but I just didn't find the characters interesting and had a hard time getting into it. Even though it's a relatively short book, it took me weeks to finish it. When I checked it out I knew it was part of a series and hoped it could stand alone. I don't know if it would have been better if I had read the previous books in the series first.

... moree town of Moosetookalook, Maine is gaining a reputation as a real life Cabot Cove. It has attracted a convention of cozy mystery writers and their fans. This has also brought along a woman with a cruel blog who enjoys exposing the negatives about people, and she is threatening to write an expose on Moosetookalook itself. When she ends up dead, Liss begins her own investigation. This was a cute, fun read. However, I wasn't crazy about the ending. I felt like the clues just weren't there for the reader to cleverly solve the who-dun-it. less
