My First School Mistake

MY FIRST SCHOOL MISTAKE
Even before I welcomed friends the glacial weather welcomed me.
My legs couldn’t carry me,
As I fought the phobia of a new vicinity.
Heads down as I walked down the aisle in class.
I felt like the whole world was watching me.
Like a must watch movie.
Comfortability wasn’t ringing a bell at all.
I felt like a misfit:
An eagle amongst chicks.
Loud voices sounded like whispers.
Was I injected with a syringe of silence?
Coughs..but my breath seems odourless.
Several thoughts swam into my brain.
But none of them could I contain.
More and more students tropped like Arnold,
Very bold and filled with guts I envy so much.
My walls of assumptions fell apart
When it dawned on me I was in a final year class.
The wrong class for a new lass.
