So, living next to goats has its disadvantages…
Also living in the south, where winter is three weekends out of the year is difficult too.
Two days ago it got up to 80 degrees, directly after a 30 degree weekend. Just before that we had a nice 65-75 degree week. Guess what happens when the weather turns warm then directly cold? Flies!!!
Flies are everywhere!
I can not figure out how they are getting into my house!! I am like a guard posted up at the door every time someone walks in or out. They are everywhere!!! I am not talking three or four flies I am talking they are literally everywhere!!
So I have been trying all kinds of home remedies to rid my house of this nasty invader!!! First I tried the good ole fashioned swat technique. Although a valiant and stress relieving way to kill this disgusting army. I started to feel like they were taunting me. I killed about 7-8 before they realized what I was doing, and tricked me into wearing myself out…
Next I tried a vinegar recipe I found on google. 24 hours passed and aside from my entire house smelling like a fancy salad, not even one fly fell for my concoction.
Not wanting to spend unnecessary money when I can rid my abode naturally, I yet again googled ways to get rid of flies. After spending an hour reading up on types of flies and the dangers of flies living in your home, I am a paranoid wreck…
So I attempted a sugar and coffee mixture inside two old milk jugs cut to be a make-shift fly trap. I am not seeing any improvement and I am starting to think that these flies are a resilient unearthly breed of mega flies who are sent from another planet to torture humans.
In all reality I guess I am going to have to give in and buy some actual fly traps…
