Pass Christian, Late November 2000

First post of 2018, only 14 years after I left the Coast and over 12 years after Katrina. Nothin’ like being on top of things… There were enough images to share from this particular afternoon so I’m posting them as a shoot. I made some black and white because the old 3.34Megapixel camera did not like high contrast. If it was all bright or all diffuse, it was OK. I still have to go all the way through 2001 and 2002 before I get to the first DSLR images. It’s hard to go back and look at some old digital photos because they look so rough, in comparison.

The photo folder is dated November 20 but that is a Monday, and the area looks deserted, so it’s more likely Sunday the 19th.

Hancock Bank, still there

War Memorial Park

This was next to the park, at the corner of Fleitas Avenue and Scenic Drive

The Saucier Bidwell Pratt House, gone. The roof trim is not broken, the sunny spots on it were blown-out by glare, toned-down in the final image.

Upcoming posts may be mixes of locations, as I work to close out Y2k.
