Seduced by the Tide (Dragon Soul #2) by Sean Michael

Deke has yet to meet a man who gives him a rush. Coast Guard rescue has kept the dragon shifter busy, but there’s no harder work than finding a mate. Then comes Bryan. Bearded and inked, the personal trainer turned mechanic smells of grease, sweat and red meat. How irresistibly human can you get? And when it comes to hot, slamming sex, they’re the perfect fit. Now all Deke has to do is to tell Bryan what he really is, and what he has planned for them.
Bryan has never met anyone like Deke, a consuming lover with a body so arousing it damn near hurts. And he knows how to use every inch of it. Yet he can’t shake the feeling that Deke is hiding something. Just not this—the stud he’s falling for is a centuries-old dragon who has marked him as a mate.
Bryan has to admit that something inside him is changing. For the first time ever, he’s satisfied, body and soul. If Deke really is telling the truth, this could be his destiny—if he’s ready to face it.

I wasn’t as frustrated with Seduced by the Tide as I was with Branded by Flames, the first book in the Dragon Soul series. I honestly think that the my whole problem with this series is the secrecy – which is unfortunately unavoidable. I mean really, how would the average person feel if someone you were falling in love with told you they were a dragon? Maybe it’s the way that the brothers are going about it? I’m not sure I can put my finger on it, but there’s also something about this series that won’t let me let go. I want to know more about the magic and the other mythology that surrounds these shifters. So I guess, you’ll have to bear with me while I figure it out…

Deke and Bryan were actually a pretty great together, but they tried to walk away from each other. Deke had his job with the Coast Guard to go back to and Bryan had to let him go. Easier said than done, especially when things were moving faster than either one of them expected – both emotionally and physically.

Jake and Shae were back and it was nice to see them again. It was also great for Bryan and Deke because it made things a little easier. The big brother and the best friend had been exactly where they were and Bryan definitely needed that grounding, especially since he was wondering about his sanity. His shaky history in that regard didn’t help, but his prior experiences became a lot clearer as he learned to accept that magic actually did exist.

There are 3 more brothers in the Beteferoce family destined to find their soul mates. I’m still in for the long haul, so stay tuned.
