Prompt: Crumb
Dear Wednesday,
The word “crumb” used to be an expression of frustration when I was a kid, as in “Aw, crumb!” when the rabbit ears on the TV weren’t picking up the signal during the Ed Sullivan Show.
Now it can refer to the American satirical cartoonist, Robert Crumb; or more likely, what sticks to your skin when you eat toast in bed.
