Spirit Guides – Your Invisible Support Network

What if I told you that you have a team working with you to help you on your biggest projects, dreams, and challenges? Would you feel excited? Happy? Relieved and supported? This week on my Divinely Inspired Living Radio show, my special guest, medium, ghost whisperer, and #1 New York Times Bestselling author, James van Praagh revealed that we have an invisible spirit team who work with us behind the scenes. They’re helping us all the time.

James has been tuned into the world that’s invisible to most of us for 35 years or more,  and his latest book, “Wisdom From Your Spirit Guides” explores all things about connecting with our spirit guides and learning about your spiritual dream team.

So how does it work? Well, our spirit team is there whether we are aware of them or not. We can consciously benefit from their insights by tuning in through meditation and learning to concentrate and calm the mind. The ways they communicate can be subtle and their presence may be felt in subtle shifts of energy. The best thing to do is to show up at a regular place and time every day, silence the mind, and listen quietly without any expectation. It’s possible to offer them an invitation to join you there. Doing a prayer of protection or a light meditation before calling in any guides will bring a layer of protection and attune you to call in the highest and best for you.

Van Praagh says that our guides will change as we change during our lifetime. So if you suddenly start oil painting, you may have a guide who comes in to help you master some of the skills. When he writes a book, like “Wisdom From Your Spirit Guides”, he benefits from the help of a particular guide who will come into assist. He also says we have an “Etheric Council” who we met with before birth and who we can connect with in meditation. His book offers some interesting and simple guided visualizations to help with this.

My favorite is “The Meeting Room” where we’re invited to sit quietly in a room with two chairs in front of a glass window and invite our guide to join us. Doing this meditation allowed me to see the being whose presence I often feel near me in mediation. There’s a sort of quickening and an energy shift in his presence. Our guides have a higher vibration than those of us in a physical body, and to me, the energy of my guide feels loving, light, airy, free, and supportive. It’s a beautiful experience.

Happy inner journeys.
