Sweet Little Lies (Sweet #2) by Abbi Glines

4 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Description:

After facing a truth she never imagined, Beulah has to find a new path. Build a life without help and take care of her sister alone. Or does she…

My Views:

This picks up right where Sweet Little Lies ended. There was so much more drama and secrets that the first one. Hell, I was getting whiplash from everything.

Beulah got the rug dragged from under her and couldn’t tell what way was up. After the cliffhanger from the last book, I couldn’t wait to see how this played out.

Jasper to me seemed immature. Portia had it right when she said that seemed like a little boy who couldn’t get his way. He was in lust with Beulah and she was the same with him. I don’t think he cares about her the way he thinks he does. He was insane to think that they would work out after everything.

Stone’s character stole the show this book. I always felt like he wasn’t a douche for no reason. Everything started to come together and make sense about Stone’s behavior in this book. Was he selfish? Yes. Was he overbearing? Yes? But I don’t care in the slightest. He was better than Jasper by a landslide.

The chemistry between Beulah and Stone was HOTTT! I liked them together. My only issues were that they had a little too many sex scenes (but oh well) and that Beulah did a 180 when it came down to getting busy with Stone. Like when did homegirl become such a minx?

Of course, they couldn’t stay happy for long, and that cliffhanger was enough to make me pre-order the last installment of this series in a heartbeat.
