review 1: I skipped over the books in the series that concentrated on other characters in Eve Duncan's world, that weren't Eve and had no problem understanding what was going on in this book. There was a little bit of an interest in Joe from Catherine Ling, another new character introduced in this book, but Joe is not straying and Catherine doesn't want to do anything that hurts Eve. Catherine also has her own books outside of the Eve Duncan series.
review 2: I would give it closer to a 4.5 star rating. While the "female-bonding" grew to be a bit much, as did the personality of "Kelly", I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It took me a little for the book to really pick up the pace, but it held my interest once it did. I actually stayed up to finish the book, which is somet
