TBR #43; Scorched Liar!

Welcome, reader/s! For a while now, I’ve been writing a bi-weekly post about books that are on
my TBR. TBR, if you don’t know is the abbreviation for To Be Read. My goal here is to shed some light on books that I’ve otherwise forgotten about. These books could be books I’ve been meaning to read from the library, or books that have been collecting dust on my shelves at home. My goal though is to say a little about the book and also give a little reasoning of why I want to read them. In hopes of reading them sooner than later.

There are two books that I will be talking about today, and the major difference these two have is the amount of pages there are in their respective stories. The first book has 51-ish pages, and the second book has well over that amount. To be exact, GoodReads said that there are 238 pages in the second book I’ll be talking about!

The first book I mentioned is titled Liar Liar by Caelia Sky.

Liar Liar is – I think?? – a vampire novel and one that I’ve been wanting to read for a long time, but I keep on forgetting about. Thus it’s on this weeks TBR post! I don’t know too much about the book, but I can already tell that I’m going to be a little mad by the end of the 51 pages. The synopsis for Liar Liar on GoodReads mentions that there’s going to be a cliff-hanger ending and?! I don’t know what to think, honestly. Liar Liar is a standalone so there’s no other book. I will end up reading this short story without a proper ending. GAH!

The second book I mentioned is Scorched by Jennifer L. Armentrout — New Adult, Contemporary, Romance.

Scorched is actually the second book in a duology, but the synopsis’ are totally different; different names for the characters and slightly different..well..everything. I’m pretty sure that Scorched is a New Adult (NA) novel, and I’m pretty excited about that actually! I haven’t read a NA story in a while so Scorched should be interesting! The synopsis for Scorched is kinda heated, so the book should be a scorcher! Eh? Eh? Did you see what I did there? Hahaha. In my mind, Scorched holds a lot of potential, since it’s written by Armentrout.

Have you read either of these two books?
If you have, what did you think of them?

Happy Reading!

Adele
