Life itself is an effort. From the moment you wake up till you go to bed. You have to make the effort to live a meaningful life. Even if things are given on a platter of gold, an effort has to be made to accept it.
Just as being served a plate of food. You have to feed yourself, making the effort to direct the food to your mouth and not your nose unless, problems will arise. Even when the food is in your mouth, you have to ensure that you don’t choke.
In the case where you have to draw water from the well, if you have ever tried it, most times, you will have to consciously channel the fetcher to get water into it. If not, you will end up trying and trying again until you get it right.
A lot of us don’t want to put in effort but we want to be successful. We want the expensive lifestyle but are we really doing what we should do to afford that life style? Are we making that conscious effort
in our lives, even when opportunities are freely thrown at us?
Robert T Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad taught me never to say things are too expensive for me to afford, but rather to ask myself what should be done in other that I can enjoy that luxury.
So if you want that expensive wristwatch, or that Bentley, or a trip to Bora Bora, or to wear new clothes everyday of the week, it is possible. You only need to make the effort to do that which will enable you afford the kind of lifestyle you want.
There is no such thing as an effortless success story. So don’t give up, even when the going gets tough.
