review 1: It was all right, the characters were fairly interesting, but I couldn't help but feel that there was something missing - it was like good cake without icing. The illustrations, also, were beautiful, but perhaps not what I would have gone for stylistically in a graphic novel. As drawings they were absolutely gorgeous, but I'd have preferred something a bit less paint-like and a bit more vivid, perhaps. Or at least more clear-cut. Anyhow, good read, over all, and a breeze to get through, so if you have some time on your hand and you enjoy illustrations, go for it.
review 2: The artwork is simply stunning. The story itself is philosophical and artistic in itself. I found the blending of the authors to be well-done; however, I can agree that I was a bit disappoint... moreed with Willingham. The ending is a bit dark, but does not detract from the vibrancy (In a variety of manners) of the work as a whole. I completely enjoyed it, and think this is a must-read for everyone (not just people that love graphic novels/comics). less
