The Gingerbread Cafe
review 1: Lily, the owner of The Gingerbread Café, and her friend CeeCee are preparing for the first ever Chocolate Festival in Ashford, Connecticut and the whole town in buzzing with excitement! Things are just going the greatest it's ever been with Damon and with his absolutely charming daughter Charlie, Easter is going to be a dream. Then Lily's ex Joel rides into town with all the usual drama that he brings. This was a really cute read and it was surprisingly short. For those looking for a quick read this is it with a really sweet ending - with a strong message about what's important in life and love and friendship.
review 2: I came across this author and her book on a friends blog, and I'm so glad I did. This story sucked me in to the point I finished it in one
... more afternoon as I just couldn't put it down! The characters are full of life and lovable, and the delicious food descriptions and the way the author paints the snowy Christmas scene transplants you right there alongside them. I loved it. A sweet, feel good romance that left me smiling. Only teensy tiny complaint was the length, I wanted more! Just wasn't ready to part with the characters (sniff sniff). I recommend this and I can't wait to read Rebecca's next book. less

Quite short and very typical of the genre. Still gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside though!
