review 1: This is such a short novelette, but in it there's a lot of emotion, life tragedies, broken hearts, despair and healing. Life changing/ending decisions were made, a man appeared to foil those plans and be a savior, and two people found what they needed to make their lives complete. And it all happened one night when Lauren decided her life no longer had a meaning or purpose, so she tried to end it. Then he came and stopped her. Cyril just wanted her to live, but he got a lot more — he got everything.
review 2: For a novella to include heart, hot sex, and strong emotion it is doing many things correctly! I just know when I pick up a Red Phoenix book, I am in for a beautiful treat. Her writing is like poetry, and I always walk away from her books feeling better ... morefor reading them. This one is no exception. Usually, I don't read novellas because I always feel short changed somehow. I felt like I got a wonderful story out of this. I loved this story. less
