review 1: I did like this book a lot, but it was hard for me to keep track of all the characters being introduced... there were a lot that could have been weeded out who really didn't have a role. I also did not like how a lot of the "noble" young men were flirts and had intimate relations while away then return like it was no big deal to deceive and court naive young girls then marry them and continue to have a mistress (thankfully it did not expound on these actions, just incorporated it with the story). I guess I'm naive when it comes to guys and how many in the world actually do have intimate relations before they are married...and after...now days...which is really sad! I just was surprised to have it in a book from this time period.
