review 1: 4 starsThis was a very good story. This is a Sterek fanfiction story. For those of you that don't know...Sterek fanfic is based off 2 male characters, Stiles and Derek, from the TV show Teen Wolf. In the show they're both heterosexual but some viewers have fantasized about them together in a m/m relationship and thus Sterek was born. This one isn't based in the TV show world. There is no paranormal in this story and Derek and Stiles are 2 years apart, both currently in collage. The people are the same as in the series are there but it's all very normal and you don't need to have watched the show at all to read this story.So Stiles and Scott are best buds but Scott is going to Australia for an internship for his veterinary degree. Scott and Stiles are sophomores in the loca... morel state college and in the same fraternity, along with Jackson, Issac, Danny and Derek. Scott and Stiles don't live in the frat house, they share an off campus apartment. Derek and Stiles have never really talked much, either in high school or since they came to college. When Scott leaves, Stiles is bored and lonely and not handling being alone well at all. He decides to put an add on Craigslist and Derek replies. They start hanging out and at first it's them jerking off together but not touching or even really looking at each other. They also started hanging out together as friends too and as they spend more time together, the lines between them become more and more indistinct. What I really liked about this is that Derek has been crushing on Stiles since high school and is secretly a romantic at heart (underneath his rather gruff and non-talkative exterior). Stiles is in major denial through a good portion of the story, not figuring things out right away (which does cause some issues) but Derek was willing to go slow and give Stiles the time and space to come to terms with things. Of course Derek could have been a little more open about his feelings because there is some drama when they both care for the other but think those feelings wouldn't be welcome if expressed. Obviously, there is some drama that has to be worked past but things work out well (I loved Stiles' grand gesture) and Derek and Stile end the story planning a HEA together.This was a very enjoyable story. I really liked both Derek and Stiles in this and was rooting for them from pretty much the beginning. I also liked the mixed PoV so we could see both Stiles' and Derek's thoughts and feelings. I thought this was a very good m/m college sexual discovery story (no that I've read many) and I found it endearing and engaging. As I said before, the story doesn't really have ties to the TV show so anyone can read it. I'd recommend this story. :D
review 2: Very funny, super smutty, 'Animal House' style, GFY Stereck online fanfiction writing. Since I don't watch the Teen Wolf show, I had to Google the main characters to see what they looked like .... YUMMMM! Sometimes it reeeeally helps to have a visual. Although the plot devices were outrageously foolish, I laughed out loud several times. Fans of the show might enjoy this story more than I as there were a few off statements leading me to believe that there might be several wink-wink show jokes thrown in the mix that only viewers would catch and appreciate. Warning: Friends of Bill W. proceed carefully. These boys are drinking anything and everything during the "No Homo" phase of their relationship.Thank goodness they found a HEA because I don't think their livers could take much more denial. less
