review 1: What a fantastic story! I'm a sucker for a feel good love story and this one delivered in spades!!!Jake gave up any semblance of a life in order to raise his three sisters. Things just never seemed to work in his favour...until he takes a job as a housekeeper for a difficult client. Jake finds his work for Patrick difficult because of his attraction to Patrick. There wasn't a lot of angst in this story (thank you very much) just a good romantic love story.
review 2: Jake is an openly gay man, who is struggling with debt and trying to help support and care for his alcoholic mother, 3 sisters and his niece. He starts a new job as a housekeeper for the dreaded client Patrick. He doesn't meet Patrick until he shows up for work one day and Patrick is there sick.... more Jake has assumed Patrick is a grumpy old blind man. Turns out Patrick may be blind and grumpy, but he is only a few years older than Jake and has the body of a Greek God. Jake is a take no crap kinda guy, and tells Patrick like it is. He isn't intimidated by him. Patrick and Jake have a great back and forth banter, and become friends. Jake is attracted to Patrick, but assumed Patrick is straight. After a night of drinking things heat up between them, but will Patrick remember it the next morning? Will he be angry?This was a really sweet book. It didn't have a whole lot of angst. The MC's got along really well they had a good chemistry. less
