review 1: I'm really enjoying Kaye's writing and her books. I love the fact we have an Aussie writing about characters who are from and based in Australia. Hank lives in Western Australia has a farm. Elliot is rich and comes to rural Australia as part of his doctoring contract. The characters have depth and are fun. The relationship, the story and the secondary characters are nicely blended together.I personally think Kaye has a nice writing style. She keeps me reading and I'm always looking forward to her stuff.
review 2: Oh my, oh my, oh my - I sigh in complete contentment as I write this. It was everything I expected and so much more, for me, it was perfect - there was nothing that I didn't like. Hank's narration through the book was inspiring and funny - I loved the
... more way he thought ("No fishing, Hank" will remain with me for a long time). Blushing Elliott was clever and so sweet, absolutely perfect for Hank. Uncle Murray and Jimmy had me in stitches, Oh! let's not forget "Middy" - now there's a story waiting to be told? The sex scenes were hot but not overdone and there's phone sex! And finally, we have the sheep, lots and lots of sheep. I know dip-shit about sheep (see what I done there? They "dip" the sheep and they shit a lot) but I was actually become really interested and had no reason to believe that the author's detailing was not accurate in anyway. Hank even gave Elliott a lamb to name - now that's true love! So, in summing up, I am no longer a Renae Kaye virgin (and she made my first time so very special) and this book has gone straight to my top 2014 Best Reads List! Loved this book. less
