review 1: 4 1/2 stars. Great start to the series.“Regina in the Sun” is Book 1 of the sensual ‘Children of the Goddess’ series by R.G. Alexander and features the charismatic Mediator of the Clan Trust, Zander Sariel and his brother Lux. Regina is an Unborn, a member of the controversial Deva Clan which tends to consists of vampire females who are not pure in blood lineage but are ‘made’. Regina’s talents as a Reader make her particularly attractive to Les Loups De L’Ombre (the Shadow Wolves) who captured and tortured her. She seeks sanctuary at Haven before succumbing to her injuries in an attempt to petition for protection for those of her pack. Zander is stunned to discover that Regina is his blood-bound mate (grathita) despite all of the taboos against it and is ... moredetermined to claim her despite any opposition, including her own. The vampire world is about to be changed forever but the question is whether the Abbadon clan will succeed in their attempts to assert their superiority and continue to oppress the Unborn or will Zander and Regina find a way to uncover the traitor in their midst and resist the attacks by the Shadow Wolves who have returned to wreak their own brand of havoc.A great beginning to a series that blends eroticism and paranormal elements in a very entertaining novella. The action starts with the very first paragraph and ensnares the reader in an intriguing and well-built world filled with fascinating characters. review 2: Regina in the Sun is the hottest book I've read to date. Need a little help keeping warm at night? Start collecting all R.G. Alexander books now...you'll never get cold again. Very visual and interesting story line. You can picture each character with ease and feel a connection. Especially when it comes to their most intimate thoughts and desires. You almost feel like Regina herself. The deep love connection...and I mean literal connection between the two main characters, Regina and Zander ( I love that name by the way ), is a facinating and emotion vortex you easily get sucked into. Every should experience that kind of love at least once in their lives. To add to the excitement of unbelievable breath taking sex there's the excitement of hot sexy vampires and dark magick filled werewolves, evil and threatening which puts our Regina at harm. Action, betrail, steamy sex, fierce emotions, power and unquestionable true love...this book has it and keeps your heart pounding and your mind turning. After reading this book you definately are left wanting more and more. Good thing there are three more books to this series so far and R.G. says there will be more to come. Be careful in what company you read this book...you may just lose control. less
