The author goes through the thought process to write a story with the reader, and then changes his mind to make the story better. This lets young readers understand you can make writing better. The book also leaves the reader with a question to ponder. The last page has “A friendly list of words used in the book” which define the literary terms used in the story like a glossary.
Verdict: It is a great read loud and book for libraries as it is inspiring for young writer and encourages using their imagination.
