review 1: I read Dirty Kiss when it first came out, and was caught up in its sweet excess. There's a lot of angst, a lot of sex, a lot of words in the books in this series. Since that time, my preferences have changed somewhat and a lot became too much for me. But I love this narrator, and love his voicing of the characters in this book. He does an oddly paced "hesitant" cadence for Cole's voice. It works some of the time, but seems affected at others. Definitely some strange choices there, but I love his voice for Cole so much that I can ignore (most of) the odd pacing and somewhat random pauses. Overall, totally worth the time, delightfully done.
review 2: I enjoyed this book a lot, especially as a set up for a series. I won book 4, Dirty Deeds, so having seen great co... moremments about this series, I bought the rest and am setting out on my Cole and Jae-Min adventure!I enjoyed the murder mystery element - got lead down the wrong femme fatale path along with everyone else, then had forgotten all about the actual murderer when trying to figure out who else could be 'it '.I liked the ansgty bits of the romance between Cole and Jae-Min - though Cole does look to be the type to attract Trouble! I look forward to their roller coaster relationship developing. I did think the sex scenes were a bit too many and too involved for the story (shocker, I do like my sex!), would have been happy with less.Also hoping the Rick/Ben mystery may get more resolution, feel we are only scraping the surface of that. Did enjoy the secondary characters - need to see how many more of Claudia's male progeny have M names!Looking forward to book 2 less
