review 1: I really liked all the research he did to find out about the Egyptian Gods and the creative way he brought them to life. My favorite God was Bast, the God of cats. She protected the kids with razor-sharp knives that would pop out of her sleeves when she needed them which was really cool and helpful. She was also powerful with combat magic because she was the respected lieutenant of the Sun God Ra.
review 2: Carter Kane and his sister, Sadie, are descendants of the House of Life. The magician siblings were living in Brooklyn learning and mastering their powers when their enemy, Apophis, was on the rise. The Kane kids had to save the world from coming to an end by preventing Apophis from breaking free. The Kane's need to revive the sun god, Ra, if they have any ... morechance of defeating their enemy. In order to do so though, they must find the Book of Ra, and the kid's must learn how to correctly chant it's spells.I really liked this book because it was action packed and very climatic. I also really like The use of God's and all the creatures. less
