review 1: Just like The Demigod Files, this was a collection of short stories. They were entertaining to read, especially the one about Luke and Thalia, where we get to see Luke before he becomes an evil jerk and meet fierce, seven-year-old Annabeth. As a sucker for Percabeth, though, my favorite story was the one about those the staff of Hermes. Percy never ceases to make me laugh. And obviously, I loved Leo and Buford. The story was kinda silly, but Leo is too cute. The last part was what didn't do it for me. Rick's son's writing was pretty good, even though it sounds a lot like his father's. The problem for me was the story itself. It was slow and honetly bored me a little. I guess the fact that there were no known characters and that this Doctor guy was annoying didn't help. But I... more did enjoy the rest!

I guess it was nice... Not as fun-filled as most special editions are but enjoyable. The puzzles were just meh... But it was a nice change to read more of the fun-filled short stories that I can laugh at. The stories were funny and adorable. But the last story, it felt like the writer (Rick Riordan's son) tried to cram too much meaning and mysteriousness along with serious anger at the gods and monsters and stuff into a little chapter. He basically tried to shorten a full teenage novel with lots of emotional turmoil into thirty small pages, you know? But other than that, the book was very satisfying. I just wish it was longer. Gah, I can't wait for more books anymore!!

I'd definitely recommend reading this. And I definitely recommend reading it somewhat in the publication sequence. So like read it between books 2 and 3! Or maybe read it after you finished all 10 main series books like me, I still thought it was wonderful. This is a good read. Definitely more than just supplemental to the series in my opinion. I had read some really negative reviews about Riordan's son's story but I even liked that. It didn't feel like Rick Riordan writing, but I mean that wasn't necessarily terrible. It did leave me wondering if his dad told him the little bits of canon that are pretty relevant to the entire universe or if he made everything up???
