review 1: I confer with others who have reviewed this book:1. One of the most important books I've read in years.2. I will be recommending it to everyone (hence why I signed up to this review website).3. It is surprisingly easy to read. I'd had it on the shelf for half a year before I got round to it, partly because of time and partly because it just looked daunting and dry. In fact it was hard to put down, with neat separation of topics into chapters so you can take a break after each if you need. Quite conversational and amusing in parts. If you fear the book is based on "junk science'", I recommend that you read the book if only to understand the industry's media campaign using that phrase.
review 2: I'm a chemist and have worked in product safety, so I do know quit
... moree a lot about exposure to chemicals. However, this book was still quite an eyeopener and very thought provoking. To think that we get exposed to such a cocktail of chemicals on a daily basis, often without even realizing it, really angers me. Most of the chemicals are also totally unnecessary in the products we use. I definitely recommend this book to those wanting a crash course to chemical exposures, as well as to those wanting to improve the quality of their lives and that of their family. less
