review 1: I liked the way this book was written. The footnotes were sometimes better the actual chapters. I will say that Frank frustrated me to no end, but only when he got his memory back. He never stood up for himself, or took any real action. Even the ending was somewhat of a passive aggressive one, but it was still funny. I would recommend this one; I don't know if I'd re-read it, but it was a good time while I had it in my hands.
review 2: This is a Laugh-out-loud book, hard to put down because of Glancy's comedic genius. The writing is an abundance of wit and honesty, but still has the dactylogram of life's ever-present bleakness. This novel tells of a man who suffers a strong jolt to reality, which leads to him accepting a love lost, realizing bravery in precipi... moreced circumstances, making a difference in the smallest of fonts, and catching life by the throat and collaring it and pulling on the leash then finally taking control. less
