The Darkest Touch(TDT) is the 11th book in an ongoing series I loved so much back in the day. The Lords Of The Underworld. To be completely honest my love for this book was based solely on my love for the series itself and past books. This book was a weak addition and unfortunately books that followed have been worse. This series was magical to me and now I’m just not feeling it. My main issue is what the author did regarding a certain “couple”. She baited readers for 9 years into believing this “couple” would become official only to throw it in our faces. It’s a long story that I’m not getting into but it was part of the reason my love for this series soured. Another big reason was how undiverse and repetitive the books became. The first 5 books in the series are still some of my favorites but I prefer to ignore the other 8 that followed.
Once burned was a book I picked up back around the time I was(oh god) captivated by vampires. ( Don’t laugh! Okay you can laugh
