review 2: Reading this book so long after 9/11 probably robbed me of some of its inherent significance, but Inside The Kingdom still offers a fascinating and balanced look at the nation, which produced a majority of the hijackers. The long strugg... morele between fundamentalism and the (relatively) progressive factions of Saudi society was unknown to me prior to reading this account, and the context it has provided is invaluable to understanding the broader context of the region in the era of the War on Terror. less
