review 1: This book was strange, and it didn't really capture my attention as much as other books did, you had to really try to stay interested. It took some effort but I finished it and at the end I was just confused of what I just read. I got frustrated with this book because it didn't get right to the point. With some books that is okay, but with this book it made it seem quite boring. Overall this book was a three out of five and was not such a big deal.
review 2: Fat Cat by Robin BrandeI was recommended this book by a school librarian, and I must say, I’m glad I put it on hold. I found Robin’s writing to be creative and enjoyed how she deeply expressed Cat, the main character’s, guilt, anger and confusion throughout the book. The story is mixture of romance, h
... moreumor, a pinch of everything, and explores how girls feel about their bodies. Teenage girls can easily relate to Cat’s feelings as her flaws and imperfections are revealed to her eyes. The struggles to finding a way through them and moving past them brings most young adults down, but Cat’s commitment to her project will light a path for those who are self-conscious. I would recommend this to girls who wrestle their own insecurities and that like a crazy, but meaningful, story once and a while. Some of the scenarios could be considered a little far fetched, but it all finds a way to come together and create a unique novel. less
