review 1: Some interesting short stories, I reread this after reading the latest offering and was happy that Walker Clover got his story here. Never really a fan of the short story as I like getting to know my characters really well, but in this case I think I loved the Genista Furze story the best as Tinne got his tale and I always wondered what happened to Genista. I'm glad she got her happily ever after, and those rotten Darjeelings were in it too :)
review 2: I really enjoyed this set of 4 short stories set in the world of Celta. The first story takes place far in the past, before the settlers landed and tell the story of one of the couples facing the uncertainty that arose with the trip. This story was nice because it takes place before the Heartmate phenomenon, a... morend describes the growth within an existing marriage.The other three stories provide happy developments for some minor characters in the books. One tells what happens with T'Willow's mother when she reaches out to a Heartmate she not claimed in the past. She is mature and they both have to deal with disappointment and regrets before moving forward. Another tells about Tinn Holly's ex-wife, and does not have a Heartmate bond. Rather, the story is about the growth of love and letting go of fears. Finally we have the tale of Walker Clover and how the Clovers are raised to the nobility. He has to grow into his power and position before he can claim love. Also, not about finding and claiming a Heartmate, but definitely about passion and understanding one's heart. less
