review 1: So I grew up reading books by Robin Jones Gunn...our first Christy Miller books are probably first-editions! I loved her Glenbrooke series and the Sisterchicks books, too. I loved reading Robin's story, so beautifully interwoven with the stories of women in the Bible. One of the fans mentioned in the book said that she was mentored throughout her young life through Robin's stories, and it's very true. I'm so thankful for her obedience to keep writing.
review 2: I think I started crying in the first chapter and didn't stop until long after I finished the book. This is the first non-fiction book of Robin's that I have read and her beautiful writing was even more vivid, vulnerable and captivating than her fiction stories. She weaves in stories and experiences from... more her own life with Biblical women, bringing forth the truth that God doesn't waste anything, that His grace is sufficient, and that there is always hope. This was such an uplifting book and so many truths hit me deep in my heart. I will definitely be revisiting this book! less
