review 1: Review Courtesy of April HollingworthThis book is strictly 18+It is so hot it practically sizzles off the pages, leaving you begging and curious as hell. If you have no interest in BDSM books then this book is not for you. I must admit I'm surprised how intriguing I found it. I also know I'll definitely be thoroughly reading all contracts I sign completely from now on. No skimming through them, you never know what your signing.Opening Scene:October 13When someone pounded on my apartment door like they meant business, I fumbled one of my mother's second-best teacups and almost dropped it.The Review:Rachel has been asked to join her ex-lover Colin and his brilliant mentor Julian, a doctor she's lusted after since first seeing him during her residency, on a mysterious medical... more break through, operation and research. Signing the contract without reading it properly she heads off to join them in Montaneva and a gothic castle. What she didn't realise is that part of her duties entail being a submissive, where she has to remember her safe words and anything can happen at any time. With kinky games of BDSM and life changing medical research Rachel is in for the ride and thrill of her life. But when all things are said and done is love, lust and FrankenDom what she really needs and want's?Notable Scene:I sat down at the desk and opened the file with my contracts in it. I opened the employment contract first and took my laptop over to the bed so I could relax. It was such dry reading I barely managed to go through it without nodding off. Then I opened the personal conduct agreement.Section 1: Dual nature of Employee's roles. Rachel Anne mcBride, hereinafter referred to as Employee, shall act in two separate and distinct capacities for the duration of her employment at Kilmartin BioTech Industries. Employee's role as a vascular surgeon is defined in the current employment contract between Kilmartin BioTech Industries and Employee. Employee's role, rights and responsibilities as sexual submissive to Julian Xavier Kilmartin, hereinafter referred to as Employer, are defined below. The paragraph was so full of legal jargon, I almost skimmed right over the words sexual submissive.Almost.I sat straight up, my eyes as wide as saucers. "Oh my fucking God!"Thirteen seconds later, I was still whispering the same words. Well, at least now I knew what the rings in the canopy were for.And all that stuff in the closet and nightstand? Yeah. it was for me.Me! i could hardly get my mind around it. Not only did Julian still want me as a woman, he wanted me in ways even I'd never fantasized about-shocking, perverted, thrilling ways that would probably have Bree hyperventilating before she called in the cavalry to rescue me.God, was there really a surgery on the thirty-first, or had that all been a ruse to get me here?Surely not. The employment contract with KBTI had been mind-numbingly legitimate.
review 2: Frankendom is a twisted seriously kinky BDSM twist, on the classic Frankenstein story. The author took me places that had me catching my breath, squirming in my seat. This book was intense. I fell in love with the characters. This is dark, edgy, and intense not for the faint of heart - violet wands, puppy play, which I didn't like bondage, and submission and S&M. Rachel McBride is our heroine, and she is an awesome vascular surgeon. You get a little bit of back history with her, and you see how she knows Colin Carter and Julian Kilmartin. Rachel dated Colin for a bit, and he showed her a bit of the BDSM lifestyle. As it turns out, she is a natural, and conventional ways of loving it up just don't do it for her. But being a sub does. But things end badly with her and Colin and he disappears - for five freaking years. And Colin shows up and offers her a job with him and Julian in Europe to do a body transplant and she agrees after he convinces her and tell her that it for his brother but her doesn't tell her that his brother didn't give his consent until after the surgery was complete. Rachel leaves both of them and not only hurts herself and Julian and deeply hurt Colin after getting some advice she goes back. This was a good story. less
