review 1: Well...I have to say the book is exciting. The action never stopped, and I loved that aspect. The writing was decent, the dialog believable.However... there were logical inconsistencies that pretty much ruined the book for me. For example, in one chapter they're complaining that all the fresh food had long ago spoiled. A bit later, they're eating bananas, and there's more fresh fruit and veggies available from the same person. How is that possible? In another example, a character makes her debut by arriving in a small car she's driving. Later, after an escape in which she's the driver, she explains that it was her first time.Other puzzling parts of the plot are never explained as well. I got frustrated. All in all, I think it's a good start, but the book needs more ... morework.
review 2: A really good story, well written and well paced. Astronauts return (crash?!) to Earth after a mission to Mars to find the world completely devoid of people and animals. It keeps you turning pages as you come up with your own theories about what has been going on only to have these theories dashed in the next chapter or the turn of a page. Certainly a book that is difficult to put down.Read the bio of the author and it explains he's a devout Christian. Although there are references to Christian beliefs in the book (which became more apparent after reading the bio) I wouldn't put it in a Christian fiction genre. less

Great book. Not as strong as Nightmare - but another great read from Robin Parrish.
