review 1: I guess reading this book it would help to know who Robin Roberts was. Being in Australia I don't watch USA Morning Television so I wasn't sure about a lot of the references made in the book. I was a bit disappointed because I got a bit lost with the way the story seemed to chop and change a bit and I felt that it lacked a bit of the emotion that I guess I would've felt if I had been following her journey along the way. However, I do agree with her message that everybody's got something and I admire her strength for battling what sounds like a horrific disease. I wish her all the best for her continuing recovery. review 2: What a positive, encouraging book. More than her illness, it is an ode to family and friends and how we all have something rough in our ... morelives. Love hearing someone speak with true gratitude instead of platitudes. I don't even watch morning TV and am only marginally aware of Ms. Roberts career accomplishments. That said what a challenge the last decade has been for her and how helpful this book would be to so many. Highly recommend. less
