review 1: While this book is considered a contemporary romance (and one that had some pretty hot moments…) this had a lot to do with the secondary characters and the impact of the choice made 17 years ago. I enjoyed Wells’ novel Still the One. I’m not usually big on “contemporary romance” but this one I’d recommend to others who enjoy reading novels about family drama, forgiveness, letting go, and love lost then found and rekindled.

It's a wonderfully authentic and emotional view into the lives of a young military widow (Kate), her former teenage flame (Zack) newly returned to town after 17 years, with their pregnant teenage daughter (Gracie) - who has recently lost her adoptive parents in a tragic accident - in... more tow. Includes a side-story of Kate's late husband's parents' struggle to regain footing in their relationship after a betrayal. This novel could easily have turned into a complicated mess in the hands of a less-adept author! I found the ending a bit cheesy, but otherwise it was a great read! less
