review 1: I did like the plot-line of this book, but the trouble is that the heroine, Trinity, really irritated me. I appreciate that Grady was trying to create a character that was wary of the world given her history, but what she's actually done is invent a character who is almost ridiculously judgmental in parts of the novel. Given that she's supposed to be a talented journalist, you'd think she'd take the magazine articles on the hero, Zack, that she judges him entirely on with a pinch of salt. The supporting characters and writing of this novel are great, but Trinity really did ruin it for me a bit given that I couldn't really root for her either individually, with Zack as a couple or with Bel as a mother-figure. I did appreciate the sweetness of Zack being completely flummoxed... more by having to look after a baby for the first time. 3 stars for the story and writing.
