review 1: This book is one of my favorite children's books! I love how Folgueira created a book that was unique and appealing to children. The sense of camaraderie and friendship stringed throughout the book allows children to get a deeper meaning out of the book. I really enjoyed how it shows that even though we're all different, we can still be friends with each other and do things together. It gives children who feel left out the idea that they can make always make new friends with anyone and feel accepted.
review 2: What a wonderful book to help kids learn that things aren't always what they seem! Animals all around Little Pig couldn't figure out why he was making a "ribbit" sound. They came up with their own conclusions...none of them positive...as to why Little P... moreig was croaking like a frog. Little did their judgmental hearts realize that he was just trying to be a friend to the frogs. Because they squabbled too long, Little Pig moved on to birds and they had no problem with Little Pig "tweeting." A great learning tool for young ones! less
