review 1: The story starts with a wedding, between Quests's (Q for short) rock star mom and Angela's singer dad. Angela is training to be in the secret service like her mom. Her mom supposedly died in an explosion trying to avoid a terrorist bombing. one of the roadies of their parents show is actually an agent as well and he helps the kids investigate the bombing. the kids have trouble finding out who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, all while trying to find out who the mysterious Mr. Potus is. During this mission they are being followed by a strange group of people who seem to have twisted intentions. I thoroughly enjoyed the subtle undertones of the book, it had enough action to keep the reader interested while at the same time developing the characters to a point wher... moree you feel their emotions. My favorite scene was when Angela, the self proclaimed observation genius cannot understand a magic trick preformed by Q, that is when Angela opened up about her past and felt somewhat inadequate about her skills. I felt like the book accomplished two goals, developing the characters to a surreal point and grabbing the readers attention with action.
review 2: I kinda liked the book, but not particularly "dislike" it. It was pretty good in the beginning, all until she found out that her mom might still be alive, then it kinda just kept me in a boring state. I like the book, but I wouldn't really read it again. It could've been improved with a bit more action, but other than that it wasn't that bad. I would only recommend this book to a friend IF they like novels like these, mainly because of how easy it can be read. less
