review 1: I thought this was absolutely adorable. I even heard Mike giggling as he was thumbing through it. It's a very quick read (maybe 2 hours) and would be a great gift for a friend who is in the hospital having another child. I think that a first time mom wouldn't appreciate it as much. There were parts I could relate with, parts I was shocked at, and parts that just made me laugh out loud. I really loved the parts that made me feel like I was mother of the year for never having thought that.
review 2: I loved this book. It gave me a true guilty pleasure of knowing that I was not alone in my twisted thoughts of child rearing. This ranges from the truth of the five second rule to the bizarre things you never thought you'd say such as "One day you will LIKE ha... moreving testicles." My favorite anticdote of our own life is the day my daughter got a orange TicTac stuck up her nose and we opted to not go to the hospital, no insurance, I figured it would melt if her nose was running and since she was crying I knew it would. It only took 5 minutes for the TicTac to melt enough to get it out. This book has plenty of these little gems. less
