review 1: I read this book in a single sitting. Although to be fair, it's more of an extended comic book. It's the story of the end of the lives of the author's parents from her perspective. And she happen to be a cartoon writer for New Yorker Magazine. The way they handle end of life issues, including loss of freedom, loss of dignity, the extreme costs and the overwhelming dread and guilt is touching and maddening.
