review 1: This was a really nice, sweet story. But I would have enjoyed it even more if it wasn't so out of sync with the first in the series. 1) This book occurs 1 1/2 years after the first book yet everyone is 3 years older. I guess people really did grow up faster in the olden days. 2) In the first book Tom's parents let his sister Sally elope with a man she has known less than a month and only talked to 4 or 5 times. His mother doesn't even want to be at the wedding of her oldest daughter. Her father doesn't care about giving her away. In this one ( a year later) Tom's dad cautions him not to rush into marriage because it is a lifetime decision. They encourage him to wait a year. 3) This book unlike its prequel is also totally clean. This is not a short-coming it is just... more strange when the previous book has very descriptive sex. A series should be consistent for its target audience.
review 2: Tom is a nice guy but he is having a hard time finding a wife. He goes to a dance and steps on his future wife feet. She is engaged to someone else. She finds out that her future husband is a Mama's boy and will only take his mothers side. So she breaks off the engagement and starts to date Tom. You will have to read the book to find out if they have there happily ever after. I hope you enjoy this book and Happy Reading.... less

An uncomplicated, easy read with likeable characters. Not much depth but I liked it.
