review 1: This book has a ludicrous plot, and I don't mean the zombies; that's a belief that we are ready to suspend. I just don't find it credible that people would become that uncivilized in only three days. Characterizations are pretty much caricatures as well.I do have to say, though, that the action sequences are pretty well written. Really well written, in fact. However, this is one of those authors who are so desperately in need of good editors. You revel in something you enjoy, or you relish it. You don't relish in it. You don't hone in on your target, you home in on it. I could go on. There was also a subject-noun agreement error that almost made me fall out of my chair. Tsk. Tsk.Fail.
review 2: The plot & events were interesting, but the story moved ... morea bit too fast to the point of skipping information, glossing over things, or using phrases like, "Just like in the movies..." The ending was also quite predictable. However, the events along the way were new & inventive. Read it if you like zombie books & want a quick read. Skip it if you're looking for elegant pros or prefer a zombie world where the general public has never heard of zombies prior to the outbreak. less
