review 1: This is quickly becoming my favourite paranormal series.Mate are usually insta love, this series it isn't that way. The Vampires and Wolves need to work hard to be with there mates. I love the mix of Vampires and Shifters, these books hit all of my buttons and more. Each book has an explosive plot with a great storyline. All three books are different but they do all blend together.I did think Zeke was going to blow it with Ashlock because of old hurts.... I was pleased that they eventually worked through there problems.I love SA Welsh's writing style, this author has become one of the authors that I auto buy her books.I'm looking forward to book 4 in this series :)
review 2: A fun an adventurous romp. There is action, humor and heartbreak that I really enjoyed.
... moreThere is a lot of humor here and the pranks and family snark are great. The action, chase scene and fighting are exciting and well written. The sex scenes between Zeke and Ashlock are titillating if rushed. There are however several storyline problems that are more disjointed than unfinished. BEWARE! POSSIBLE SPOILERS!Zeke and his sisters are chased out of their pack territory and their previous alpha challenges Alpha Remy, supposedly with council approval and mouths a cryptic answer as to why. Then the whole subject drops. WTF? That's is a serious problem, war is declared between packs but nothing more is said about it.Zeke has a major problem with vampires that we learn very little about, there is a short appearance by the vampire that tortured him but learn nothing about how long he was to tortured or how he escaped. Also Zeke got over his bias very quickly without actually explaining why he was so frightened. There is no background information given about Ashlock. None other than he is from Elder Lavi's line. I realize this is a series and further information about psycho alpha Trevor and his evil plan for shifter domination will carry the series but the storyline of Zeke & his sisters being cut by their alpha doesn't seem to be part of that so the alphas comments make no sense and really bug me. I get the feeling the author isn't sure which way to take the plot line which leaves this book feeling unfinished.Yes, if asked I would recommend this series, with a warning about this book, and I am looking forward to the next installment. less
