review 1: Jacko has lived a very hard life, so when given the opportunity to save his sister, he jumps for it. Now that his sister is safe, he has to cope with the fallout, and finding not just his mate but both his mates.I really liked Jacko, he endured a lot but it doesn’t stop him from being a great character still willing to fall in love. Lavi and Van are the perfect mates for him, they are patient, strong enough to defend him and his sister, and are willing to do anything to protect and claim Jacko.Some of the storyline continued from the first book, and while this could be read on its own, I really liked that I already knew all the major players and little details about the bigger story arc.I look forward to reading more in this series, the author has created an interesting ... moreworld, with some very fun to read characters. review 2: I'm enjoying reading this series.Jacko's life is very complicated, his mother is evil, he has been horribly abused because of his mother and his young sisters in danger. He is scared to let anyone touch him even his mates. He needs to overcome his fears and learn to trust his pack and his mates.Lavi and Van are vampire elders, the blood they drink has been poisoned, they can not tell if Jacko is there beloved. They need Jacko's wolf to smell them both to be sure.A fantastic second book in the series. Great story line and plot with very different characters.Looking forward to reading more from this series. less
