review 1: I found this novel quite absorbing in some ways whilst at the same time increasingly wondering what it was all about as I read on. Some of the satirical observations made me laugh as did the portraits painted of various characters in the book especially as seen from Katherine's perspective eg her take on her colleagues in the office. In the end though it just left me feeling as neurotic and paranoid as the protagonists which I suppose is some testament to the level of insight that the writing gives into their psychology, but I can't say I really enjoyed it.
review 2: Actually a good book from a debut author. Made me laugh out loud several times to be honest with its incisive observations of social situations and interactions. At times I wondered if he was going
... more to actually manage to pull it all together but I think he manages it well enough without resulting to sentimentality and slop. I'd happily recommend it to anyone after a book that places emphasis on the struggles and burdens that come with living in a 24 hour socially connected world. less

A rather depressing modern novel. It has some good quotes, but I'll spare those who read my reviews.

Well developed flawed characters and sick cows and sheep, just like real life!
